WebMaking curtains with interlining is fairly straightforward. Start with your decorative fabric (the layer of the curtain that will face into the room). Lay it face up on a table and mark the position of the hemlines with pins. Turn it over so the fabric is face down on the table. Use weights to stop it sliding around. WebLay the curtain down, right side facing up. Hold the pleat flap up. Push the centre of the pleat flap down so it touches the sewn in line at the back, causing the sides of the pleat to spread outwards. Bring the two sides up together to meet. Pinch the bottom of the pleat (at the bottom of the buckram) Sew the pinch in place, under the buckram.
